When someone shares your page on Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter/X, Slack, or in a message, the platform does not show your full page. Instead it builds a preview card from a small set of meta tags in your page's HTML head: the Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url) and the Twitter Card tags (twitter:card, twitter:title, twitter:image). If those tags are missing or wrong, your links show up with no image, the wrong headline, or a truncated description, and they get far fewer clicks. This tool fetches any public URL, extracts every Open Graph and Twitter Card tag it finds, and renders exactly how the link will look as a Facebook/LinkedIn card, a Twitter/X large-image card, and a Google search result, so you can spot problems before you publish.
Paste the full URL of the page you want to check (for example https://example.com/blog/post) and click Preview. The tool downloads the page, reads its title, meta description, canonical link, favicon, and all og: and twitter: tags, then draws three preview cards using the same fallback logic the real platforms use (og:title falls back to the page title, and so on). Below the cards you get a recommendations panel that flags any missing or out-of-range tags, one-click copy buttons for the image URL and a ready-to-paste block of recommended tags, and a full table of every meta tag found on the page.
The single most important tag is og:image. Facebook and LinkedIn recommend an image of 1200x630 pixels; smaller images may be cropped or shown as a tiny thumbnail. Keep your title under about 60 characters and your description in the 110 to 160 character range so nothing gets truncated in search results. Always set an absolute https URL for og:image and og:url, not a relative path. After you publish or change these tags, use Facebook's Sharing Debugger and Twitter's Card Validator to force those platforms to re-scrape your page, since they cache the old preview aggressively. Note that the preview image here is loaded directly by your own browser, so what you see is the real image at its real URL.
